1301 Spa

Had a great and relaxing stay! There was plenty of room for my husband and I. We both thought it was in a quieter part of the Island which made for an extra relaxing time.

We had a wonderful stay. The place was very nice, clean, and comfortable for our family. We especially loved the beautiful beach view from the living room balcony — it made our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. Our family truly enjoyed the time here, and the host David was very responsive and helpful throughout the stay. We would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back again!

Condo was great! It was quiet and in a great location! It was just as described and David responded very quickly any time I had a question. It was perfect for our weekend to celebrate my husband’s birthday! If I had any criticism it would be the couch! lol! It is not comfortable at all!! So good thing we didn’t just lounge around! lol! Also just a little tip….pack lightly, 37 stairs to the 3rd floor!

Very pleasant place. We stayed in Unit 1301. Nice, well stocked, had everything we needed. The only negative thing was, there’s no elevator. I have a bad knee and we had to use the stairs. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay very much. Would definitely recommend staying here.

This is a perfect place for a couples long weekend. Quiet, private and secluded. Beach is as well. I’d book it again.

We booked last minute and the unit was nice and clean. The sofa is not an actual pull out but usable for a tall teen for sleeping. The tv was on playing relaxing music with an aquarium scene when we arrived and definitely helped us to relax after a long drive. Be mindful that you have to hit the Lock Screen on the electronic door lock or it doesn’t lock.

Great stay. Oceanfront. Instant booking. Just need reliable back up plan in the event of smart lock malfunctions. Peaceful. Looking forward to the next visit.

We loved our stay here! This is a perfect condo for a couple’s weekend trip. It’s just the right size, and the view on the patio was beautiful. It was also clean and the bed was comfortable. Definitely would stay here again!

The location was stunning! We looked forward to waking up and seeing the deer at sunrise on the beach and the overall peacefulness of beach life. Quieter part of the island which we truly enjoyed! Thing to note: We don’t recommend this specific condo if you have small children (like us). We received 2 noise complaints from the 82 year old directly below our condo (words from the security guard). We tried our absolute hardest to be respectful of those below us but with a toddler who is truly just excited for the beach, it was not possible to remain totally noise free with her. So just FYI that if you have small children, this condo might not be the place for you. Also, the dumpster is quite a walk from the condo…just important to note. But overall the condo was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Enjoyed the stay

Our stay at the spa on port royal sound was perfect for me and my wife for our honeymoon. A very quiet and private resort that was perfect for enjoying some quality time and a great view as well. The only downside was that there was no alcohol allowed at the pool, however the supplies in the kitchen allowed us to prepare many meals and enjoy time together as a married couple for the first time. David was a wonderful host who replayed information to us at a timely manner.

Although we were only able to stay a couple of hours due to a family emergency it was a very clean and comfortable place! I will say if you have toddlers try and keep them either on the couch or outside, bc within 30 mins of being in the room we had a noise complaint about our toddler crying bc he tripped.

Extremely clean and comfortable condo with all the amenities for a couple's weekend getaway. David was responsive to all messages and check-in was a breeze with the instructions provided. Other reviews mentioned the stairs being difficult but my wife and I found them to be very easy, and she currently has a fractured foot and is in a boot. Be sure to read the entire listing - the very ending of the description mentions that this is on the sound, not the ocean. We were disappointed to find that upon checking in since the listing mentioned it being on the beach and with ocean views multiple times. We likely would not have booked this condo if we had known more about the "beach" mentioned in the listing, but our fault for not reading the entire description before booking. Overall, we would recommend this place if you're looking for a quiet community on the river/sound.

Overall a wonderful place to stay for just the 2 of us. Three would have been too many for the space. Awesome sunrises over the sound.

We stayed ONE night. We are seniors climbing 3 flights of stairs 3,4 times a day not working. I thought for the money we paid this would be an easy stay. ,far from it. Very disappointing that we couldn’t stay longer. It wasn’t safe to do so.

Totally wonderful. There’s way more than is expected. And I don’t want to give any of it away. It’s glorious.

Great place! It was only 10-20 minutes away from Coligny and other places to visit. Super peaceful and there were plenty of places to go out on the beach!

Although this isn’t an ocean front property it is close to public beaches , plenty of wild life to enjoy .

David’s place was beautiful and perfect for the two of us. Very peaceful with breathtaking views.

I’ll start with the pros: The location is beautiful and faces the water which is private access and less crowded than other beaches in the area. The host provided snacks and I liked that the fridge had both water and ice. The cons: For the price, bedding options for a second guest were not comfortable. Small twin bed under a cabinet in the hallway or a futon that was small and very uncomfortable. I paid almost $200 for a cleaning fee but was required to take the trash out and I felt that for the host to ask me to both carry around trash and then go find a dumpster on the property after I’ve packed up my car to leave was highly annoying. We were also required to wash beach towels but not the other linens in the house which I thought was odd. The code for the door timed out upon check out time and this was a 3rd floor condo so we had to make a few trips and got locked out. Had to contact host. Roaches seen in the kitchen area second night. A/C vent was leaking onto floor.

We absolutely loved the condo and the location. The beach access was close and easy, the pool was great size and never too crowded and the property was well maintained. The balcony has a stunning view of the water

The condo felt like home, only thing I would change is putting blinds on the patio doors, it would definitely help with the air conditioner working so hard to cool off. Everything was perfect, the beach is definitely different than what we are accustomed to and for that reason we wouldn’t visit that area again but LOVED the condo

Beach was super unique. At low tied you could walk on sand over 400 yards out. A few hours later it was all under water. Lots of wildlife to be discovered. The view was actually better than the photos.

We had a great time at this condo. The location of the unit gives it a gorgeous view on the balcony. The villa was clean and everything we needed was provided and the neighborhood was extremely clean and safe. Highly Recommend for a peaceful weekend away!

The whole thing was so disappointing. We checked out two days early and lost at least $600 worth of “use”, but my family could not stay in this unit. It was advertised as a four person unit with “three beds”. There is a queen bed, a hallway twin bed and a couch. The couch is by far the least comfortable thing I have ever sat on - let alone tried to sleep on. I do not understand how anyone could consider this a place to sleep. The couch was also covered in sand, which they offered to come vacuum, but by the time I heard back, my children were ready for bed. Unfortunately, the child “sleeping”there was SO uncomfortable and crying, we ended up sharing three to a queen bed and one in twin. The unit was missing some basic items - a frying pan, for example. The toaster oven did not work. The queen bed was terribly uncomfortable and hard- but perhaps some people like a very firm bed. “Ample free parking” actually means $20 to park. David stopped responding to messages! Involved air bnb!

Nice and clean , perfect for couple . We enjoyed our time. The 1 bedroom is in the small side , kitchen area seemed to stay warmer , couldn’t get it to cool down like the bedroom . Quiet neighbors

Very quiet laid back location with lovely views and walking on the beach.

We had a nice stay at this location. Nice stay for the price. Place was newly remodeled and clean. Only complaints were that the beach is on the port sound, not directly on the ocean. You can SEE the ocean, but the beach is not your typical beach. The beach was very muddy and swamp like with small parts of sand. To be fair, we were there a day after a hurricane had come through, so that may have been a contributing factor. The views were still beautiful and it was nice to sit on the balcony. Only other complaint was that the bed was very hard. But that may be fine, depending on your preference! Overall, very nice stay for the money! Also, the host is fantastic! Due to the hurricane, we had to move our reservation back a day. They were happy to oblige us and edited the reservation for us! A+ host!!

This is a very beautiful and peaceful place to stay! Everything was clean and organized with detailed instructions, and the view of the ocean is amazing. I can’t recommend the Spa enough!

Such a great place! Views were amazing, beach was so close, and the condo was comfortable.

I don’t know where to get started. We had to check in where our AC wasn’t working properly and had to come back early from dinner to wait for the AC guy not the property manager Bonnee it was us then she started on us about our service dogs. These are not guest. They are service dogs with call every day back-and-forth. She needs to be perfectly clear. This is not a beach. This is the Bay or the sounds a muddy murky water. And if the bugs like you, this is not a place for you. The bugs are overwhelming. Bitting flies even if you in the pool. This is marshland. No cutting board dollar store cooking utensils scratch pans. The main room only has a vent in the hallway so you need to keep the air conditioner lower to fuel the air conditioner in that room. This is what Bonnee controls and she will not turn it down for you. The neighbors are very newsy as well. Following us around the property because of our dogs couldn’t wait for the trip to be over. It was just awful.

The apartment was ok and as expected. It was a little dusty when we arrivedand some of the renovations, like the paint in the bathroom, need to be finished. The beach is horrid, so be prepared to drive 10-15 min to a much nicer beach. overall a 6/10, and in the future, I'd go to a nicer house that probably costs the same because we had to drive to Burkes beach anyway.

Peaceful spot right on the beach. Loved hearing the waves at night. Close driving distance to anywhere you want to go.

We love this place. It is on the third floor, but you it is beachfront. The condo is as pictured, and very beautiful and clean. The beach at port Royal sound is much different than your typical Hilton head Island Beach, this beach is much more private, not touristy, and there were lots to see in the ecosystem like bald eagles, hermit crabs, crabs, fish, etc. so much to see during low tide! We also enjoyed the heated pool. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay! This is on a quieter piece of the island, which is exactly what we needed for our R & R getaway. It literally is just a few steps away from the beach. (Fish Haul beach if you want to look it up.) Not heavily populated. Tons of shells and many sharks teeth to be found! The condo was lovely, clean, and well appointed. Had everything needed (except a blender🙂 so we brought our own for smoothies). If you plan on much cooking note that you will need to bring salt, pepper, seasonings, and oils with you. The owners were very communicative, and generous to accommodate a special health need concerning fragrances, which was greatly appreciated! We love coming to Hilton Head, and would definitely stay here again! PS when you visit, don’t miss A Taste of Europe. A Family run Hungarian restaurant that was delightful and delicious!!

Perfect place for two! Last unit by the beach, close enough to hear the waves crash from the living room. Very secluded. Quiet corner of the condominium. I’ll definitely be coming back.

We had such a lovely stay! I picked this spot because we needed to relax and I didn't feel like planning anything ahead of time, walking down to the beach and hanging out on the deck were perfect for down time. The place is great and had everything we needed.

Very peaceful and private area.. still easy to get to other parts of the island in 15-20 minutes, no problem. David was a friendly host who even made accommodations for our 2 last minute guests. Condo is directly next to the beach, closest building to the ocean. Beach is beautiful, usually very walkable depending on the tide. For the value, this listing was perfect for what we needed. Spacious balcony was a bonus, definitely recommend to anyone visiting the island.

Awesome place that is as advertised. Perfect view of the beach from the balcony. The beach is very low key and plenty of space. The place had a indoor pool with a dry sauna. The condo had been recently remodeled it appeared and was immaculate. I would highly recommend to anybody especially for the price!

Overall a great stay. It is a 3rd floor/top floor unit - 3 flights of stairs, not bad other than getting luggage up and down. View is great. It would be even better if the trees were trimmed back a little. Loved having the view of the ocean even though it was a super low tide when we were there. The air duct doesn't cool the kitchen, so it was warmer in the kitchen than it was the rest of the home. My husband had to buy different toilet paper.. just a heads up LOL. We didn't cook when we were there. We ate out the whole time so I didn't really check the kitchen for supplies. Overall - great little condo with a great view.

David’s condo was in a great location, and the renovations to the property were impressive. You really can see the beach/water from the balcony, and there is a short walk to be right near the water. The pool was shaded, which we liked after being in the sun on the beach. There is some mold around the air vents due to condensation. The A/C unit in the condo could use some TLC and a new air filter. We encountered a pretty bad bug problem. They were everywhere throughout the condo and even in the beds. However, David made it right with us and advised that an inspection was completed upon our leaving and that measures were taken to correct this issue. David was a very great host and was available at all times.

Great little condo! Small but fine for small family of 4. Bed is very comfortable. Kitchen appliances are wonderful and new (coffee pot is 10 stars!). Washer & dryer work well. Lots of extra pillows and blankets and beach towels were great bonus! The snacks, coffee pods, toothbrushes-- nice touch. Had problem with sink draining upon checkin and owner was quick to send someone to fix. Resort itself is friendly. Pool is calm and never crowded. Mornings are beautiful! I ran every morning and the bike paths outside of resort are great and the beach is perfect for running. Everyone was friendly! Beach is amazing. Tide goes out soooo far and my kids (and myself and my husband) were in awe. We walked for miles. Found hundreds of sand dollars and huge hermit crabs, also large crabs and a baby shark. So fun! Warning- when tide comes in it covers those pesky reefs. Husband cut his foot pretty good when he happened upon it. Bring actual beach chairs if planning to relax on beach. Chairs in condo are bag chairs (think ballpark/camping). Great stay! A different type of vacation- but I read 3 books and didn't totally stress about my kids in the water because the water is less than knee deep for majority of the day!

Little piece of heaven. We LOVED our stay at David's condo. The Spa is on a dead end road which makes the traffic next to nothing. The view, smell and sound of the beach were just perfect!! There were some rather large lightening storms our first two nights there and it was lovely to sit out on the balcony and enjoy "the show". Amenities in the condo were as expected. We never used the pools, but they looked well kept and were never busy or loud. It's an easy walk out to the beach, and not too crowded. We rented bikes on the island and there was a place to store them, and the bike paths are plentiful. there is a winery and distillery just about a mile from The Spa, so it was a favorite spot to stop on our way back from a pedal around town. There are "barn" cats around the property that help keep any rodents and such at bay. They all seemed sweet and many were inquisitive and would come over to say Hi, when we were headed to our car. There are several grocery stores near by and we were able to pick up ice, water and snacks to have on hand at the condo. We will certainly be back again!

Very clean and amazing view! Downstairs neighbor didn’t like any type of noise. She pounded on ceiling the first nigh when we were walking around after 10. Nothing from her after that. My wife forgot her watch charger and we were able to get back in after checkout without a problem. Communication was great!

The unit is beautifully updated and very clean. It offers an efficient and comfortable layout. The unit is in a building that is beachfront and we had a nice view of the beach, making for nice sunrise viewings. The unit is a bit farther from some of the more populated/touristy areas of the island, but it’s nice to be away from that aspect in my opinion. You will need to rent a car or Uber if you plan on leaving the facility as there isn’t much in walking distance. David is a great host who was very hospitable. Overall, our experience was very good and the unit itself was great. We are happy with our stay.

My wife and I enjoyed a nice week in March at David's Beach View Villa. The primary features of this offering are the location and the patio. David's condo has a fantastic ocean/bay view from the patio that offers a sunrise view and sunshine in the mornings and is nicely shaded in the afternoon .. just what you would want on a warm day. The location is a very nice condo project with very attractive grounds, lots of trees/shade, several pools, a private pier and really nice broad beach. At low tide the beach is probably 50yds wide. We had the daily company of a handsome bald eagle, who was standing guard in a tree maybe 100ft from the patio. The condo is small, just fine for a couple and maybe a toddler, but no more than that. 4 adults could sleep in this unit but, IMO, it would be very "close". There are a few minor issues that kept this offering from being a true 5 star, the primary one being that the sofa is terribly uncomfortable, as many sofa bed type units are (this is the worst I've ever experienced). The other thing that bugged us was that the furnace/AC fan never goes off and was loud enough to be somewhat annoying. I recommend David's unit for the excellent location and dynamite patio view. We totally enjoyed our morning coffee and evening libations on that patio.

Perfect, beautiful location. Thoughtful touches abound to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Just be advised that you need to pay an additional $20 to get your parking pass and be allowed on site. You only have to pay it once per stay though. We loved it here and want to come back!

Beautiful scenery, love the view. Neighbors are a little rude, but the spot is worth it. The hot tub and indoor pool are awesome and I'm sure the outdoor pools are lovely in the summer! Enjoyed our time and appreciated the coffee and snacks and towels already out for us!

This place is great. Quite and beautiful beach front. They go above and beyond by providing the extras you may forget including coffee pods. If you don’t like climbing stairs this could be a problem. 3rd floor no elevator. Pool right next to this unit. Would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at David's villa. The accomodations were exactly as described. We did have an issue with the thermostat but David promptly sent HVAC over and everything was "cool" after that (pun intended). - Overall, a nice place to stay and a very communicable host.

We booked at the last minute and were able to checkin within 30 minutes. Checkin was very easy. David was very responsive with questions. Our stay was very comfortable…ideal for 2 people. The condo was well stocked and clean. Washer and dryer came in very handy. A few things to know prior…there is not an elevator for this 3rd story condo, and there is a $20 cash only one time fee to pay for entry to the complex. We drove to Folly Field Beach park to enjoy the beach. Overall, a very nice stay.
