very clean, very quiet, very different beach from other parts of the island, very close to several great restaurants, airport close by but not very busy.

Overall, we had a good stay. The location was peaceful, close to restaurants, and the beach was very easy to access with kids. The sand is not the white fluffy type, but it was great for seashell hunting and letting the kids play. The heated pool was also very helpful since the other pools were too cold during the April/May timeframe. A big plus was all the beach items provided, including beach chairs, beach toys, towels, and other essentials that made traveling with kids easier. The main issue was the kitchen floors being very dirty. After about 30 minutes of our toddler walking around barefoot, their feet were black. We contacted the host and they handled it appropriately with a refund. Also, there are a lot of stray/feral cats around the property, so keep that in mind if you are not a cat person. I would also recommend adding a few more bath towels.

they were very accommodating, I didn't realize you had to go up the stairs to get to my unit. when I told them I use a walker they went above and beyond and moved us to a unit on the lower floor. the unit we had was wonderful.

This condo is now one of our favorites and we will come back if we have the opportunity. It was very clean and well furnished. There has been a lot of thought put into providing things that made our stay comfortable. We love this side of the island and had the most relaxing stay.

The condo was was visually pleasing with lots of blues, greens and neutrals. The layout was just right for a small family trip. The location was within minutes of swimming beaches, and walkable to calmer water that provided for amazing seashell hunting. we appreciated the opportunity to get away for fall break, and enjoyed prompt attention from the host.

Work trip turned vacation! David’s rental was the perfect place for us! The Port Royal Sound was so peaceful and such a beautiful area. David was super responsive to questions that I had. Check in was a breeze. The home was exactly as described. We will definitely be back when we have more down time.

This was a last minute booking that we wished we knew about sooner. It was the perfect, quiet spot that I have been searching for with a low key beach. Low tide makes it quite a walk to get to the water, but it was a unique experience that we loved. Will book again.

Very great vacation

We all know nothing is perfect however. This little condo was great. It was close to the restaurants we wanted to go to but far enough away that you felt like you were in the island alone. It was very clean and quiet. The beach was a fun walk. I would highly recommend.

This place fit our needs perfectly. It’s cute, clean and close to the water. We appreciated the beach chairs, wagon and towels that were provided. Gave everything 5 stars except communication, we marked 4 only because we had issues with a remote for which we sent a note at 7:30ish pm and didn’t receive a response until we sent a second message almost 24hours later. This was surprising given that there are 5 co-hosts. However, when we called attention to it, the issue was addressed quickly. In all, we had a very relaxing stay.

We enjoyed our stay. The place was everything we expected. Very clean, kept up well, close to the beach, the Condo had so many amenities and was very neat and organized. I hate the fact we were only there for 2 nights. We will certainly book another stay at Dave’s.

David’s place was perfect. We absolutely loved the location on the sound. There were several restaurants/lounges nearby on Main Street; about approximately 8-10 minutes from the condo. We are a family of 4 with two small children. The children loved to play in the tide puddles during low tide. I recommend this listing to anyone and would definitely book again.

Absolutely loved our stay. Exceeded all our expectations. Host went above and beyond with coffee, snacks, beach chairs, towels, and toys. The little extras made us feel right at home. It was squeaky clean and the furnishings and appliances were the best we’ve had in an AirB&B. The decor, appliances, and furnishings were perfect and the place was spacious. It was nice to stay in a quieter part of the island on a busy July 4th weekend. Thank you!

Pools were great. Beaches on Port Royal Sound were awesome. Got to see an eagle up close.

"Beach" area very walkable but not really a swimming beach. HHI tides are large and expose some mucky areas. Next to airport but only a few disturbances during the day, very tolerable. Grounds were nice and all in all, a very peaceful villa. Only thing lacking was a patio or balcony, the "sun room" was just a room.

The stay at David's place was very relaxing. The condo unit is very close to the beach within a short walk and the amenities such as both outdoor swimming pools were also very close by his unit. We especially enjoyed the beach and how much it changes at high tide versus low tide. At sunset, the beach was very peaceful. David's unit had everything we needed to make the stay convenient and enjoyable. I recommend David's place for sure!

We enjoyed our stay. Nice, clean place to stay with everything we needed. We enjoyed walking to the beach and the indoor pool with hot tub. David gave clear instructions and everything was just as described.

We have been going to the Spa location for several years, but this was our first stay @David's place. We loved the first floor location and the proximity to the beach. The rooms were well appointed and had everything you might need on a vacation. This is by far the best beach on Hilton Head Island if you enjoy exploring and changing tides.

This was the second time my husband and I stayed at this location. We absolutely love how peaceful it is. We were just steps away from the beach so we were able to see some pretty sunrises and sunsets. This place is a great location as it's close to many grocery stores and restaurants. We also love the "homey" feel to David's place. It's really a treasure. We 10/10 recommend!

We love this condo complex, right on Port Royal Sound with the dramatic tides and shorebirds. David’s place is beautiful and very comfortable, lots of snacks, coffee, fully stocked kitchen. It has recently been upgraded: the floors, kitchen and showers. The Roku box was great to have to watch our shows at night. We highly recommend David’s place!

The room was absolutely great! All you need to bring is your personals. David has the place completely set up from pots and pans to beach toys, chairs and a wagon to carry it all. My kids had a blast. We can't wait to return.

Great stay and I’d gladly stay again !

Very convenient to the beach! Just a couple minutes down the walkway and you’re at the beach. We wanted something very easy to access, close to the beach and kid friendly. This place was great! Quiet, friendly neighbors, lots of beach Items in the closet, just bring your clothes and you’re all set! A lot of restaurants just a mile or two down the road as well as plenty of grocery stores to chose from.

Private location and very responsive host, enjoyed our time on Hilton Head and will be back!

David’s villa was the perfect place for our couple's weekend. It’s a quick walk to a private beach, and the villa was truly a place to relax and enjoy our time together. David has ensured that the villa has every accommodation you may need for your beach trip. We enjoyed our time there so much that we extended our stay an additional night.

I rented this for my 70 yr old mom and 85 yr old family friend with some mobility slowness. It was perfect! Place was super clean and both ladies commented on how luxurious and beautiful the unit was. Appreciated the responsive of the host with a few questions. I live on HHI and often need a place nearby for family to stay when my own house is full. Will certainly keep this unit in mind for next time!

Our family had such an amazing time at David’s place. Location was unlike any other resort on the island- private, walkable & filled to the brim with wildlife. The beach is a little different than other spots on HHI but it was so fun to explore & see all the shells & oceanlife. Local public beach access less than 2 mi away for a more “traditional” beach day. The condo had everything we needed & more! Clean, stocked & beautifully decorated! We can’t wait to come back again soon! The host was responsive & friendly with every interaction! We love the spa on port royal & absolutely loved how close our condo was to the beach & pools. Such a unique place & experience!

David is a great host! Very polite and caring in regard to our overall satisfaction of our stay. The place has great amenities. The only downfall is the access for the beach. We had envisioned a sandy beach, as are all other beaches in HHI, but we came to find out it was muddy, not sandy, rocky almost, with twigs everywhere (tough to walk on). Thus, we had to commute 10-15 minutes to a different public beach. The Pest Control as well for the condo could use some upkeep. If you are looking for relaxation, not much beaching, then this is a great place! But, if you are wanting to have easy access to a sandy beach, I would recommend staying elsewhere.

Our stay was perfect for what we needed. Loved the complex, and the distance to the beach, and the newer renovations to the condo. We really enjoyed riding bikes and exploring the beach at different tides. Only had some minor difficulties with check in but no other problems.

Enjoyed our stay!

The premise was impeccably clean and comfortable. The host provided all the information that you need. The nearby beach was not great but we were able to visit various other beaches around the island that were great. With a rental car, we were able to explore the entire island and let's just say that Hilton Head is a great place.

The condo was great but all the accommodations on the property were very dated.

This place was perfect for my husband, my dad, and myself to visit Hilton Head for my brother’s wedding! David is so helpful and accommodating. His place is clean and very spacious. We really enjoyed our stay!

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The check out time is super early (10:00 am) and check-in is super late (4:00 pm). This basically eats up a whole day of the reservation. The location is good in terms of proximity to other things on HHI. The condo complex is pretty run down and tired. There are feral cats everywhere and the neighbors to this unit appear to be hoarders. The unit itself was comfortable. It’s small and has no outdoor space. The floors were so for me our bare feet looked black. The pier and beach were pretty great. Overall, we had a decent stay.

My husband and I loved our stay. The place was very tidy and has a very peaceful and relaxing feel to it. We loved the tiny details added in such as some snacks laid out, a coffee bar, as well as, toiletries, and cleaning products. It made us feel extra welcome. We also got to walk on the beach for beautiful sunrise views which was just a short walk from where we stayed. Thank you so much!

The rental was a little bit away from activities and restaurants, so a car is necessary to really get places, but we didn't mind once we learned basic routes. It was nice to be in a peaceful safe area right on the water.

Place was very clean and organized. Appliances, HVAC system, and televisions worked well. Excellent location on the quiet side of the complex. Short walk to beach, indoor pool, and outdoor pool (was closed for the season. The Beach is on the Sound so not very sandy but plenty of benches and a pier to observe sunrise and birds, thousands of birds.

Holiday vacation for Family. Pictures reflected how it looked inside the home. Older home, had an odor in the home. I have a sensitive nose and it bothered me. Very nice flooring but dips or sunken spots underneath the flooring. Furniture set up was nice. Vacationed in colder month, the indoor pool was great for the kids.

The condo itself was perfect for our vacation, perfect size for me and my partner, with extra room if we had brought an extra guest or two. Everything was very clean, and we were equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Everything was thought of. Outside of the condo there were a few small complications. Checking in was a bit of a struggle because when we arrived there was nobody in the guard house at the front gate, and the phone number provided did not work. We were not able to officially check in until the following night. The indoor pool and hot tub were unfortunately under maintenance when we went to use it, so we didn’t get to spend much time there. Other than that, we truly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely love to visit here again. The sunset was beautiful to view from the nearby beaches. Thank you for everything!

Nice gated apartment complex. Walkable to the beach and was quite calm. Parking was not bad, best to have no more than two vehicles. Not the best idea to leave anything at gate due to gate man not too sure about anything other then checking were you going. Overall very nice and comfortable area.
