Hilton Head Island

1 Bedrooms

Forget the crowded resort strips. This villa sits directly on Port Royal Sound — closer to the water than anything built on Hilton Head today. Inside, a maximalist tropical escape awaits: emerald velvet, botanical murals, rattan, and gingham — every corner designed with intention. Three pools, tennis, hot tubs, and fitness center on site. This is the quieter, wilder side of the island — and there's nothing else like it.

Not Your Average Beach Vacation. Not Even Close.

This villa is something different — and it starts the moment you walk through the door.

Step inside and the vibe hits immediately. A floor to ceiling tropical mural wraps the living room in lush botanicals — banana leaves, monstera, palms — set against a blush pink backdrop that somehow makes the emerald velvet sofa look exactly right. A peacock rattan chair anchors the corner. A black and white checkerboard rug grounds the whole room. Sliding glass doors frame the Sound like a painting, and through them, the water is right there — closer than you'd believe.

The kitchen keeps the personality going. Pink subway tile backsplash, grey shaker cabinets with gold hardware, stainless steel appliances, and a VW bus bar cart that will make you smile every time you walk past it. Oyster and cocktail prints hang on the wall. This is a kitchen designed to be enjoyed, not just cooked in.

The bedroom is its own world entirely. Botanical wallpaper climbs every wall and continues across the ceiling — a canopy of green leaves overhead, lit by a sculptural gold drum pendant. A blush velvet headboard anchors a queen bed dressed in soft linens and sage green throws. It's lush, layered, and surprisingly serene.

The single bed tucks into its own dedicated nook — sky blue walls, a black floral ceiling, gingham bedding, and plush pink pillows. It functions as a private little retreat within the villa, perfect for a younger guest or a travel companion who appreciates their own space.

The wildlife here doesn't disappoint. Dolphins frequent the Sound. A bald eagle calls this stretch home. Guests have spotted hammerhead sharks, stingrays, and horseshoe crabs. Fishing, crabbing, shrimping, and clamming are all fair game right from the property.

The complex sits at the end of a dead end road flanked by two parks draped in Spanish moss covered live oaks. Almost no traffic noise. Just the Sound, the birds, and the kind of vacation most people don't know exists on Hilton Head.

Book your stay and find out why guests who discover this side of the island keep coming back.

Guests will be able to access the entire villa plus the common areas and community amenities such as the pools, fitness center, and private beach access.

The Spa on Port Royal Sound was built before there were building restrictions regarding distance from the water. As a result, the complex is extraordinarily close to the Sound. (FYI-Low tide does go out about 1/2 a mile.) The marsh grass has grown in behind the breakwater rocks on our beach, at the same time, a sandbar in front of the rocks has been built up and a proper beachfront has developed. It's quite a beautiful natural phenomenon and has provided us with 2 beaches. You have to see it to understand, but if you prefer a more regular beach, Mitchellville Beach is just a few hundred feet to the left of the property for those requiring a more "proper" beach experience.

The complex is flanked by two public parks laden with Spanish moss-covered live oaks and resides at the end of a dead-end road. There is little to no traffic noise, except the occasional airplane taking off or landing at the small airport nearby. We enjoy an abundance of wildlife and embrace the opportunity to go fishing, crabbing, shrimping, and clamming. I have personally seen other amazing wildlife including dolphins, eagles, hammerhead sharks, stingrays along with the more common egrets, ravens, jellyfish, crabs, and horseshoe crabs.

PORT ROYAL SOUND & FISH HAUL BEACH

This isn't your postcard beach — and that's exactly the point. Port Royal Sound's natural shoreline is quiet, unhurried, and genuinely wild. Shallow, calm water makes it ideal for little ones, and the shell hunting here is serious business. Birdwatchers take note: bald eagles are regular visitors to this stretch of the island.

A heads-up before you go: at low tide, the bottom gets soft and muddy in spots. Water shoes are your friend here — though the brave and unbothered are welcome to squish through.

If you're chasing waves, boogie boards, or fluffy Atlantic sand, Islanders Beach or Folly Field Beach are your move — both are about 10 minutes away. But if you want the slow, unspoiled side of Hilton Head? You found it.

THE HILTON HEAD ISLAND CAT SANCTUARY

The property borders a community cat sanctuary — a cherished part of the neighborhood.

PARKING AT THE SPA

Parking requires a $25 guest pass payable at the guardhouse by credit card or digital wallet — a community requirement disclosed in full in your pre-arrival instructions.

SPA AMENITIES

While amenities like the pool, fitness center, dry sauna, and hot tub are available to all Spa guests, we have no control over them and their maintenance, repair, or availability. In the event that any of our community amenities becomes unavailable for guests, we assume NO RESPONSIBILITY for any of these amenities prior to or during your stay. By making your reservation you are acknowledging this disclaimer regarding our community amenities and agree unavailability will not be grounds for refund or cancellation of your reservation.

RENTAL AGREEMENT & DAMAGE WAIVER

Just a quick heads up, as also stated in our house rules, we have a simple, personalized rental agreement for you to sign within 48 hours of booking. Please click the link provided in your confirmation message from us to review and sign before check-in. It’s nothing scary, just a little housekeeping to keep everything smooth and stress-free. Note: check in information won’t be sent without completing these steps, and refunds aren’t possible if skipped. Let us know if you have any questions—we’re happy to help! :)

You can rest easy knowing your stay is covered with $1,500 in "All-Risk" damage protection. Although rare, accidental damage from guests does happen. Traditionally, this was managed via a security deposit or vacation rental damage insurance purchased by the guest. Both are cumbersome and often have limitations in protection. With "all-risk" protection, all accidental damage from a guest is covered unless it's specifically excluded such as, normal wear and tear, infestation, or prior damage. This is covered under a $35 management fee included in the transaction for your stay.

Relax and enjoy your stay!! It's vacation time, so enjoy it with the peace of mind knowing that if an accident happens and damage occurs, you are protected under Waivo!

1106 Spa,

This was a cozy little place right next to the ocean, perfect for a couples getaway. Very quiet and relaxed area even during the 4th of July weekend. Host was great to work with and would definitely stay here again.

1106 Spa,

This place was just like the pictures. It had a beautiful view.. would I stay here again possibly. The only complaint that I have is the mattress was a little too firm for my liking I like a softer bed. It was memory foam so most people would probably like it. The other complaint is the refrigerator did not have an icemaker. It did have ice trays, but I like a lot of ice so we had to go buy some. Also, I recommend bringing bug spray because the bugs bite you at night on the porch but overall this is a great little place and I would recommend it.
